Bailey the beautician

I wasn't a bad kid growing up. I didn't make my parents worry too much. The one thing I did do, was cut my siblings hair. I remember when I was like 12 I cut my little sister's hair (she was eight) anyways I had her convinced it was darling until she walked out of the bathroom and greeted my family. The first words out of my mother's mouth where, "what did you do to your hair?" Apparently, it is payback time. Bailey cut Kes's hair last Thursday night. I can't find my camera--so I couldn't even take a picture but it is short...earlength! I took her to the beauty shop to fix it the next day and she got a short bob. The lady fixing her hair said--"you know your daughter actually did a pretty good job cutting her hair--she might have a future as a beautician!" Of course I didn't tell Bailey that--or we might have a repeat performance! Anyways, she turns out she didn't need any additional encouragement--when we were at church Sunday--people where complimenting Kes on her haircut, and Bailey spoke up and said, "I did that haircut!"

  1. First of all, I still giggled remembering when you cut Emily's hair. I'm sad about the lack of picture. You need to find your camera and get a picture of Kes!

  2. Sorry, Riki, but I was in the seventh grade when you cut my hair....which makes you much older than twelve. Anyways, remember how I always used to cut my own hair--much to mom's dismay--and it was usually right before pictures. Well, I guess I never outgrew it because I cut my own hair about a month and a half ago and I way outdid the horrible haircut you gave me. I like describing it as an old lady poofball that married a mullet. And now I don't want to get family pictures this year even though I need to. So the moral of the story is that Bailey will probably never outgrow the urge. Sorry. Many more haircuts looming in the future. But look on the bright side, lots of good blogs, funny pictures, and hillarious memories.
